CTE CyberNet is a blueprint for local education ecosystems, designed for implementation in communities with diverse stakeholder needs. The U.S. Department of Education identified three CAE Regional Resource Centers (CRRCs) to design, host, and lead a cohort of CTE CyberNet New Mexico Academy at San Juan College, based on subject-matter experts’ input in June.
CTE CyberNet aims to boost the number of CTE teachers who can prepare students for cybersecurity education and careers. It uses a local academy approach to deliver rigorous cybersecurity programs aligned with industry standards and certifications. The academies provide strategies and tools to impart knowledge outlined in the National Initiative for Cybersecurity Education and Centers of Academic Excellence in Cybersecurity.
