EEDW Insights and Highlights
Fall/Winter 2024 EEDW Project Newsletter
From all of us at the EEDW office, we wish you a joyful holiday season!
We’ve had a great semester with EEDW! Our 10 participating schools have actively encouraged students to take online IT courses, we hosted an industry Q&A session with 40 students, and the Student Tech Summit was a huge success. During our end-of-semester meetings, we were inspired by school leaders’ commitment to addressing students' need and goals.
The Student Tech Summit brought a day-and-a-half of hands-on learning, student presentations, team activities, and building robots. Watching students collaborate as they explored technology’s role in various fields was a highlight. We’re already planning next year’s Summit!
We’re also refining Q&A sessions by tailoring them to schools’ schedules and interests while preparing students to ask thoughtful questions. Additionally, the new counselor support specialist hit the ground running, connecting with counselors statewide, sharing resources, and fostering a growing professional community on the Mighty Networks platform.
To our school partners: We’re here to support you. Reach out anytime with ideas, questions, or professional development needs. Together, we’ll continue building pathways to student success.
Enjoy your break, and we look forward to reaching new heights with you in the new year!
